Learn how to create your CourseForge account, set up two-factor authentication, and choose the right subscription plan.

Set up your CourseForge account and configure security settings to protect your courses and student data.

Creating Your Account

  1. Visit courseforge.com/signup
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Create a strong password (minimum 8 characters)
  4. Agree to Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  5. Click "Sign Up"
  6. Check your email for verification link
  7. Click the link to verify your account

Profile Setup

Complete your profile to personalize your account:

  1. Go to Settings → Profile
  2. Upload a profile photo
  3. Add your name and bio
  4. Set your time zone
  5. Configure notification preferences

Security Settings

Two-Factor Authentication

Add an extra layer of security:

  1. Go to Settings → Security
  2. Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
  4. Enter the verification code
  5. Save your backup codes in a safe place

Password Management

  • Use a unique, strong password
  • Change your password every 90 days
  • Enable password manager integration
  • Never share your password

Session Management

  • View active sessions in Security settings
  • Log out of unused sessions
  • Set session timeout preferences

Privacy Settings

Control who can see your courses and profile:

  • Public Profile: Choose to make your profile visible to everyone
  • Course Visibility: Set default visibility for new courses
  • Student Data: Configure data retention preferences

Team Settings

If you're working with a team:

  1. Go to Settings → Team
  2. Invite team members via email
  3. Assign roles (Admin, Editor, Viewer)
  4. Manage permissions for each role

Billing Setup

Configure payment methods for subscriptions:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Add payment method (credit card or PayPal)
  3. Choose your subscription plan
  4. Enable auto-renewal (optional)
